Junior Community Manager

Role Summary:

Yellow Agency is looking for a digitally-obsessed, trend-spotting, comment-replying superstar to join our Social Team as a Junior Community Manager. This role sits at the heart of how our brands show up online, you’ll engage their audiences, support content production, and keep the community vibe alive.
If you have the energy of a meme page, the organisation of a project manager, and the heart of a storyteller, you’ll fit right in.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to comments, messages, DMs, tags, and mentions across multiple brand pages.
  • Keep conversations active, positive, and on-brand.
  • Monitor brand sentiment and escalate issues when needed.
  • Engage with relevant creators, partners, customers, and trend conversations.
  • Help build online communities that feel alive, warm, funny, and responsive.
  • Work closely with the content creation team on ideas, scripts, captions, and executions.
  • Contribute to brainstorms, creative sessions, and campaign concepts.
  • Assist with shoots (BTS, talent coordination, prop help, etc.).
  • Track conversations, audience feedback, and trending topics.
  • Pull weekly/monthly community insights.
  • Share feedback with strategy and creative teams to help improve content and engagement.
  • Maintain community trackers, FAQs, tone guidelines, and response templates.
  • Support with basic campaign admin and internal coordination.
  • Ensure all client responses align with brand guidelines and approvals.

Qualifications:

  • A natural communicator with excellent writing skills.
  • Up to date with Kenyan digital culture, humour, creators, and platform trends.
  • Comfortable on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube
  • Organised, proactive, and great with time management.
  • Team-oriented, curious, and open to learning.
  • Previous experience in social media, community management, or digital marketing is an advantage, but not a deal-breaker.
